Messages will be answered Monday-Friday
from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m.
Text a Librarian is good to use for questions involving matters of fact that can be answered briefly.

Every effort will be made to reply promptly to text message questions. However, a response may take two to three hours due to the volume of messages received or staffing constraints. If an immediate response is needed, either Call a Librarian or IM a Librarian.
Text messaging reference is a free service provided by RCPL. However, some cell phone providers may charge a fee for sent and received text messages. RCPL recommends that you check with your provider about texting charges, as these fees vary from plan to plan. The library is not responsible for these charges. By sending a text message question to the library, you give RCPL permission to reply to your text message.
With the receipt of your text message, RCPL assumes you are in a position of safety to send and receive text messages.
RCPL respects your privacy and will not publish or share your cell phone number.
