If you are worried about what little bites to serve at a party, the library can come to the rescue.
We have a lot of cookbooks, and several just on appetizers. Do those elegant little phyllo pastry triangles, stuffed with spinach, look too difficult to make? Well, there are great step-by-step pictures and instructions in The Classic Party Fare Cookbook. The food guru Martha Stewart has a couple books just on party fare; check out the almost 500-page Martha Stewart’s Hors D’oeuvres Handbook. Illustrations also abound in the pretty little book Party Appetizers : Small Bites, Big Flavors, which states it will help you “mix, mingle, and munch!” It also has a great-looking recipe for Texas caviar -- yum. A casual style party can be served with Appetizers!, published by Good Housekeeping, with tasty treats like mini corn dogs, stuffed eggs, shrimp cocktail, and other goodies that we Southerners love. Now all you have to worry about at your next party is what to wear.
