Framing and Displaying Photographs

Do you go to family functions, take hundreds of pictures and then store the prints in a shoebox, never to be seen again? Well, start thinking of these items as artwork and begin putting them on display in your home. Framing can have a significant effect on the appearance of a photograph. Various framing options include metal, wood, clip frames, and shadow boxes. One important tip is that multiple images can take the place of a massive piece of artwork. Once you've decided what to hang or display, think about patterns and arrangement of pictures. If you are weary of putting too many holes in your wall, try cutting out pieces of paper that are relevant in size to the frames you are using. Arrange the pieces of paper on the wall with adhesive so they can easily be removed and adjusted. More information about arranging, displaying, and framing can be found in the following resources.
