Houseplants: Bringing the Garden Indoors

Growing plants indoors can be just as rewarding as planting and caring for an outdoor garden. Houseplants add color and charm to rooms and make any space more inviting.
To grow healthy, beautiful indoor plants, you must start by choosing the right plant for your room. The Complete Book of Houseplants: The Easy Way to Choose and Grow Healthy, Happy Houseplants can help you select the perfect plant for your chosen spot. It provides a list of plants for shady spots (Narrow Leaf Fig), plants for sunny spots (Nerium oleander) and even plants for the hallway (Narcissus cvs.) or the bathroom (Begonia spp.). I especially appreciated the list of low-maintenance plants!

After choosing the right plant for the right spot, all that remains is to learn the proper way to care for it. Complete Houseplant Handbook outlines how to choose the right size and type of planter and includes advice about watering, feeding and pruning your indoor plants.
