It's Time for the Super Bowl!

On Sunday, February 7, millions of viewers will tune in to CBS to watch the Super Bowl. Some will watch it for the commercials, and others will watch it to see the top two professional football teams of the 2009-2010 season battle it out to be Superbowl XLIV Champions.

It has been reported by the Nielsen Media Research that last year’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals was the most-watched in history, with 98.7 million people on average watching it. Will you be contributing to the millions watching it this year? I certainly will!
This year’s game will be held in Miami and “The Who” will do the halftime show. The location generally changes from year to year, as does the musician at halftime.

Do you know the year of the first Super Bowl? In The Ultimate Super Bowl Book, you can read all about players, games, statistics and much more! Listed below are just some of the books that Richland County Public Library has to get you started with understanding or further learning about this game, considered by some to be “the world’s greatest sporting event.”

And if you said that the first Super Bowl was in 1967, then you’re correct!
