Are you excited about Vancouver 2010?

Have you seen the "Countdown to Vancouver" commercials?  You know, the ones featuring the inspirational anthem "One Day?"  This song is from the newest album, Light, by artist Matisyahu and has been chosen as the theme song for the "Countdown to Vancouver" campaign.

Matisyahu's music is an interesting blend of Hasidic Judaism, reggae beats, hip hop and rock.

If you like "One Day" and want to hear more from the album Light, the library should be getting copies soon -- the album will appear on the 1431 New Arrivals list as soon as it is available for checkout.

I find the blend of styles in his music to be intriguing.  Although, I'm not sure if hardcore reggae fans would be his ideal audience.  I read that he was a big fan of Phish in high school; I think I can hear the jamband influence in most all the songs I've listened to.  Here is the video for "One Day."  Let us know what you think by commenting below.
