I've just read a very favorable review for a new book, The Complete Guide to Upholstery, by Cherry Dobson. I've always wanted to try my hand at upholstering a chair, but recovering a piece of furniture has always seemed rather daunting.

The reviewer compares this book very positively to Malcolm Hopkins's New Holland Professional Upholstery, and wouldn't you know, RCPL has both of these titles! Both books have colorful step-by-step photos to guide us beginners, so perhaps this will be the year for an upholstery project. Let us know if you attempt this craft.
