ABC's of Small Business

This site provides good, one-stop shopping for those who want information about loan programs and tax breaks for businesses at the state and local level.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance

This online CFDA gives a user access to all federal programs available to state and local governments, federally recognized Native American tribes, territories and possessions, profit and non-profit organizations, certain specialized groups, and a very limited number of grants for individuals.

CyberGrants

This site is geared primarily towards nonprofit agencies seeking grants and enables them to fill out paperwork online and apply for multiple grants at a time.

Disability Resources on the Internet

A good choice to search for aid for people with disabilities, this site provides listings of state, regional and local organizations as well as links for grants and grant-writing.

Foundation Center

By far the largest, best-known and best-designed web site for finding general grant information on the internet.

Google's Directory of Grants

Google, a widely used search engine, considers grants important enough to be included in its directory, and its "Grants" category also provides links to specific grant-making foundations.

GrantProposal

Grantproposal is dedicated to providing free resources for both proposal-writing consultants and inexperienced nonprofit staff.

Grants.gov

This site allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all federal (United States) grant-making agencies.

GrantSmart

This database currently contains over 200,000 tax returns filed by over 80,000 private foundations and charitable trusts, which, by law, are public records and of potential interest to grant seekers, philanthropic organizations and individual donors.

GuideStar

Guidestar, a national database of over 850,000 nonprofit organizations, allows grantseekers to search by keyword, zip code, or a radius around a zip code.

HUD Grants

The Department of Housing and Urban Development, which awards grants to organizations and groups for a variety of purposes, provides links for HUD's grants' office, funds available notices, small business interests, and more.

National Organization for Rare Disorders

NORD provides links for information on and support groups for persons with rare diseases. 

RC/EZ/EC 's by State

If a community is a HUD Empowerment Zone, an Enterprise Community, an Urban Renewal Community or a Rural Renewal Community, tax benefits may be available for businesses that start, expand or relocate there. 

Small Business Administration

The SBA's web site is a good place to start looking for federal loans and loan guarantees available for businesses along with a few genuine grant programs for small businesses attempting to develop cutting-edge technology for the marketplace. 

South Carolina Foundation Directory

The South Carolina State Library publishes the South Carolina Foundation Directory to assist South Carolinians in their search for funds to support the programs and projects of their organizations.

USDA Rural Development Housing Programs

This site is of interest to low income people living in rural areas and provides information on loans to buy homes and grants to repair houses. 

Yahoo's Directory of Grant-Making Foundations

Yahoo, a popular web site and search engine, provides many useful links for individuals seeking information about grant-making institutions.
