Compare countries, states or provinces  using a list of statistical elements and create data tables for reports or papers. Country Snapshots feature provides statistics that include maps, area, population, demographics, gross national product and more. Country Comparisons offers tools for creating comparison tables and graphs using either recent or historical statistics. Ranked Statistics performs country rankings for chosen statistical categories. Results are exportable to spreadsheet applications.

The gateway to statistics from over 100 United States federal agencies allowing a user to search by topic, location, and agency. The Statistical Abstract of the U.S. is included as are budget documents and selected online agency databases.

National Center for Education Statistics

The primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the United States and other nations, its home page allows a searcher to quickly access information about schools, colleges and libraries, NCES publications, surveys and programs, quick tables and figures, and educations news.

South Carolina QuickFacts

A link from the Census QuickFacts site, this two-page statistical breakdown of South Carolina provides handy information about the state's population, business and geography. Links to other data sets can be accessed for more in-depth coverage of social, economic, educational and employment characteristics.

South Carolina Statistics

Informs people contemplating relocation or retirement how the taxes of various states -- income, gasoline, general sales, etc -- compare with one another. This web site provides a useful summary for the 50 states.

Uniform Crime Reports

Uniform Crime Reports are maintained by the FBI and give the figures for crime in the United States by year from 1995 through 2005. The objective is to provide a reliable set of crime statistics for use in law enforcement administration, operation and management. The American public also relies on them for fluctuations in the level of crime from year to year.

United States Census Bureau

The official government source for actual and estimated United States demographic information. Users can access the population/household data, as well as the economic census. 

USA Counties

Provided by the Census Bureau, USA Counties allows a searcher to compile a variety of important statistics from almost 3,000 variables. Color and mapping options are also provided.
