Declaration for the Right to Literacy Scroll Arrives at RCPL
Join the fight against illiteracy. Add your name to the Declaration for the Right to Literacy Scroll, which will visit several locations across South Carolina through August 6. The scroll will be at the Richland County Public Library, located at 1431 Assembly St. in downtown Columbia, from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4. 

Know what to Expect as Your Child Enters Kindergarten:
Join us at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31 in the Children's Room at the Main Library for a question and answer session with local public education professionals. Get the information you need as parents to be ready for the start of the 2010-2011 school year. Lunch will be provided, and kids are also welcome to attend and enjoy storytime and other activities. RCPL To Forgive and Forget Fines During Amnesty Week
Do you have outstanding fines or fees at the Richland County Public Library? In an effort to welcome back customers who have overdue materials and fines, RCPL will host Forgive and Forget, a fine Amnesty Week, August 22-28. To receive a “Forgive and Forget” ticket, bring in a new or gently used book to donate to the Friends of RCPL along with your overdue items. Click here for more information.
